SELECTED EMPLOYEE PROFILES
David I. Berley - Chairman
Mr. Berley joined the firm in 1968 and was named President in 1973. He is a past chairman of the Young Men's/Women's Real Estate Association of New York and former chairman of the Board of Governors of the association's New York chapter, as well as the only person to receive both the Young Real Estate Senior Man of the Year Award (1990) and the Young Man of the Year Award (1977). A licensed real estate broker, Mr. Berley is also a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, the Young Presidents' Association.

Elena Zweifach - President
Ms. Zweifach has been with Walter & Samuels
since 1977 and named President in 1998. Ms. Zweifach began her career
at Walter & Samuels as assistant to the executive vice president/director
of management, and in 1993 was appointed Director of Residential
Management responsible for supervising all managing agents as well
as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the firm's property management
portfolio. She has also served as director of the firm's co-op/condominium
conversion department with the conversion of ten luxury buildings
to her credit. A licensed insurance broker, Ms. Zweifach is a member
of the Association of Residential Boards, Ltd., the Association
of Real Estate Women and served on the Board of Directors of the
Association of Cooperative and Condominium Managers (ACCM).

Ernest Faraci - Director of Management
Mr. Faraci has been with the firm since 1981. He received a Liberal Arts degree from Lehman College and has a Certified Property Manager's designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management. A licensed salesperson, Mr. Faraci is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, a member of the Board of Owners' Committee on Electric Rates.

Steven Forest, Esq. - Managing Director/Acquisition Division
Mr. Forest earned
a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Emory University
School of Business prior to receiving his law degree from Fordham
University. Steve began his law career at Dreyer & Traub and has
spent most of this decade as a principal of Emory Properties, where
he accumulated an extensive portfolio of real estate assets as well
as retail businesses. He is also a full service sports agent for
a number of professional athletes and sports broadcasters.

Peter Weiss, Esq. - Managing Director/Acquisition Division
Mr. Weiss is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business and Boston University School of Law. In the mid-80's Peter was associated with Dreyer & Traub and an associate at Kronish, Lieb, Weiner & Hellman, Esqs. representing major New York real estate professionals and management companies. In 1995 he co-founded Applied Capital Corp., a private lending company, where he acted as a principal and advisor to real estate and venture capital firms.

William S. Hesse, CPA - Controller
Mr. Hesse received
a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Rutgers College
in 1980. Mr. Hesse is a Certified Public Accountant and joined the
firm in 2001. Prior to joining the firm, he was Vice-President,
Commercial Asset Management with Lend Lease Real Estate Investments,
Inc. and prior to that served in various financial capacities with
Schroder Real Estate Associates since 1983. Mr. Hesse is a member
of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Eugene A. Schwartz, Esq. - General Counsel
Mr. Schwartz received
a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the
University of Pennsylvania in 1972, and a Juris Doctor Degree from
the Hofstra University School of Law in 1976. He has been a Member
of the Bar of the State of New York since 1977 and was admitted
to practice before the Federal Court, Southern and Eastern Districts
of New York, in 1977. Prior to joining Walter & Samuels, Mr. Schwartz
was associate general counsel to Helmsley-Spear, Inc. and assistant
counsel to Fisher Bros.

James S. Gladstone - Executive Managing Director, Commercial Leasing
Mr. Gladstone
has been with the firm since 1968. A graduate of Rider College with
a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree, Mr. Gladstone is a licensed
real estate broker specializing in Commercial Leasing and has consummated
in excess of 1,500 leases. He is a member of the Loft and Secondary
Office Renting Conditions Committee of the Real Estate Board of
New York and a former Governor of the Young Men's/Women's Real Estate
Association of New York.

Justin Ebersman - Vice Chairman, Commercial Leasing
Mr. Ebersman graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1957. In 1983 he received a Certificate of Appraisal at the NYU Real Estate Institute. Prior to joining Walter & Samuels Mr. Ebersman spent 18 years at Sulzberger-Rolfe as Store Leasing Vice President where he was instrumental in leasing over 150 stores on the Upper East Side and West Side, including many major Madison Avenue names. He was also Director of Investment Sales and sold properties with values aggregating in excess of $100 million. |
Harve Schuster - Executive Managing Director, Commercial Leasing
A graduate of
City College, Mr. Schuster has served as a Captain in the U.S. Air
Force. He has been with the firm since 1971 and specializes in Loft
and Commercial Leasing. Mr. Schuster is a member of the Real Estate
Board of New York, a licensed real estate broker, member of the
Young Men's/Women's Real Estate Association of New York, and the
Loft and Secondary Office Renting Conditions Committee of the Real
Estate Board of New York.

Leah Goldfarb - Director of Residential Sales and Leasing
Ms. Goldfarb graduated
cum laude from Columbia University. She has been a licensed real
estate broker since 1984. Ms. Goldfarb has extensive experience
in all facets of renovating and marketing cooperative and condominium
buildings in Manhattan. She has been with Walter & Samuels since
1988. |
ANDREW E. MANTON -
DIRECTOR OF PROJECT DEVELOPMENT,
Senior Financial Analyst
Educated at Duke University, Mr. Manton graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a certificate in Markets and Management . Prior to joining the firm, Andrew worked as an investment and financial analyst for a large, Northern Manhattan based Real Estate portfolio. His background includes a strong knowledge of both domestic and international financial markets as well as significant experience with local New York City agencies , including the Department of Housing and Community Renewal, H.P.D., D.E.P., and the Department of Buildings. Andrew is highly skilled in both ARGUS and Excel providing complex financial modeling, and real estate related budgeting for the Walter & Samuels portfolio.

Linda Grabow, Esq. - Attorney
Ms. Grabow graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts and received her Juris Doctor degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. She has been with the firm for ten years and specializes in residential real estate. Ms. Grabow has vast experience in the conversion field and is in charge of the firm's Transfer Dept. |
Norman Silver - Management Supervisor
Mr. Silver is
a graduate of Hofstra University with a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters
in Business Administration. He has been in our employ since 1981,
managing properties in our residential portfolio. He is a licensed
salesperson and a member of the Real Estate Board of New York.
